Penis Enlargement Surgery - Here Are the Facts

So you have made up your mind to go for a Phalloplasty i.e. to go under the knife and make your penis bigger? But do you know about all the aspects related to it? Penis enlargement by going for Phalloplasty is a common thing today. Many men, who believe that natural penis enhancement techniques are ineffective, or who simply don't have the time to follow the natural techniques, go for the surgical procedure that Phalloplasty is. However, getting under the knife should be your last option because it has its pros and cons which are a must to be known before going in for this procedure. This is because everything is not hunky dory after the surgery. Among all other issues, an important aspect is that you have to stop smoking and drinking temporarily. Therefore, it is imperative that you stay prepared for changing your lifestyle post the surgical process. For this, you must spend time with the counselor who will take you through the pre-operative care tips.
How Is It Done?
Penis enlargement surgery is popularly known as Phalloplasty. It can be done in two ways. Both these methods are meant to affect the two aspects of penis size. One is to increase the length of the penis while the other is to increase the girth. The soft tissue inside the penis becomes rigid and extends into the body. This tissue is known as Corpora Cavernosa. The part of the penis that's inside the body is brought out in an enlargement surgery. The procedure involves cutting the ligaments that suspend the penis.
Even though there is an option to either increase the length or the girth, most of the time, patients go for both types of surgeries to increase size and girth. The procedure of performing such surgeries can be found on the Internet and even the doctors inform about them completely before starting with the surgical procedure. However, patients have to go for counseling sessions before going for the invasive enlargement surgeries so that the life after the surgical procedure can be easy for the patient.
Fact or Fiction?
Owing to the nature of this problem, there are various aspects about it that lay hidden from the common people. This is the reason why many people believe that the surgery is the answer to all their sexual woes. However, they are wrong. Firstly, while Phalloplasty is required for those having micro-penises, it is not recommended for anyone who wants a larger penis. Like any other invasive technique, it has its own risks. This type of surgery can actually lead to weaker erections, floppiness of penis, discomfort during erection, permanent deformity etc. Thus, contrary to what proponents of Phalloplasty say, not everything is positive about the technique. Instead, one should consider the natural methods of tackling this situation such as exercises and stretching so that the length and girth of the penis can be increased in a natural manner and without any counter effects or painful repercussions.
As a matter of fact, a survey has shown that majority of those who have gone under the knife are not happy with the results that they have received. At the most, a man can add a centimeter to his flaccid penis length. Penis enlargement surgery thus, is not recommended for everyone. Only in severe cases, where the doctor recommends it, should this process be taken up. Surgeries can lead to infections, loss of sensation, loss of functions, and also scarring. In some cases, it has also lead to shortening of penile length too! These are hard facts. Most people do not know what to believe about surgeries. It should be your last resort. Always.
